Air Liquide expands its offer of industrial gases in Mexico with the inauguration of new cylinder filling plants and a regional operations center

Air Liquide today inaugurated a high pressure filling plant and an acetylene plant located in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico. The new plants reinforce the expansion of the company's line of bottled gases and its presence in the industrial gases market in Mexico.

The two new plants are integrated into the new Regional Operations Center that will concentrate all of Air Liquide's bottled gas and logistics operations in northern Mexico. These new plants will generate 40 permanent jobs in addition to the 200 Air Liquide employees in the country.

A ceremony was held at the new center to celebrate the opening. It was headed by Michael Graff, President and CEO of American Air Liquide Holdings, Inc., Albert Correa, President of Air Liquide Caribe, Central America and Mexico, and Rodrigo Jorge, General Director of Air Liquide in Mexico. Among the officials and guests were Ildefonso Guajardo Villarreal, Secretary of Economy, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón, Governor of Nuevo León, Fernando Turner Dávila, Secretary of Economy and Labor of the State of Nuevo León, Oscar Cantú García, Mayor of the Municipality of Apodaca in Nuevo León and Anne Bernard, Economic Counselor of the French Embassy in Mexico, as well as other guests of honor and clients.

The new plants incorporate advanced technologies to produce high-quality gases including oxygen, argon, nitrogen, helium, CO2, acetylene, blends, as well as specialty and high-purity gases, to meet customer needs in a safe, sustainable and trustworthy. Both plants, the high pressure plant and the acetylene plant, are the most modern of their kind in Mexico, with advanced cylinder filling technology to help our customers improve the efficiency of their processes.
