Oxygen
Large volumes of industrial-grade oxygen are used to increase efficiency in a number of processes by reducing the amount of fuel used and lowering carbon dioxide emissions in the oil, gas, and chemical industries.
Oxygen is used in metallurgical applications such as casting, cutting, and welding. It increases efficiency in a series of processes by reducing the amount of fuel used, as well as carbon dioxide emissions. Oxygen combined with nitrogen gas is used as a calibration span gas mixture in engine emissions testing in the automotive industry.
In laboratories, ALPHAGAZ™ oxygen provides high purity and is used as a fuel for flame detectors, an oxidizing agent, and for silicone oxidation in semiconductor manufacturing, among others.
